Xarelto
The anticoagulant drug Xarelto was introduced in 2011 to prevent blood clotting in patients who had undergone hip or knee replacement surgery and its uses expanded to treat atrial fibrillation, deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism. Soon after, the drug was found to be very dangerous, causing uncontrollable bleeding, strokes, heart attacks, pulmonary embolism, deep vein thrombosis and other complications leading to thousands of serious injuries, disabling afflictions and deaths. Unlike some blood thinners Xarelto has no “antagonist” or life saving antidote available for its complications.
